Brandenburger Schützen Competition and Coronation Ball

On March 19-21 members of the DASV will be traveling to Chicago to compete in the annual Brandenburger Competition held in the heart of Lincoln Square, Chicago's historically German neighborhood.

This competition, hosted by the Brandenburger Schützen of Chicago, will have competitors from St. Louis, Peoria, Cincinnati as well as the DASV from Auburn Hills, MI. The competition will be followed by the annual Brandenburger Schützen Coronation Ball held in Buffalo Grove, IL. This Coronation Ball celebrates the Crowning of the new Brandenburger Schützen King and Queen for the upcoming year. All of the competing clubs join in an evening of celebration and camaraderie.

Welcome to the Deutsch-Amerikanischer Schützenverein (DASV)

We are the Deutsch-Amerikanischer Schützenverein (DASV) or the German-American Marksmanship Club of Auburn Hills (Metro Detroit, MI USA) [MAP] - (248) 852-2140

Our club is centered around German culture, comraderie and marksmanship.

• The DASV is affiliated with the German American Cultural Center and the National Rifle Association.

• We are also a Michigan United Conservation Clubs affiliate.

What we do: We have many events that are open to the public throughout the year. They include Schlachtfest, Schützenfest and Oktoberfest. There is a monthly meeting with prize shooting competition and an annual appreciation dinner for all members.

Note: The DASV is accepting new members. Annual membership is $65 for an entire family. Please call the club at 248-852-2140 for more information. You do not need to be of German heritage to join, however our club is dedicated to the preservation of German culture.

Also note: Becoming a member of this website does not indicate you a member of our club in good standing. You must attend a meeting in person, fill out a form and pay your annual dues to be considered an actual member. Thank you.
